event contract

DEPOSIT

  • A non-refundable deposit of $250.00 is required to reserve your event day/time.

SET-UP FEE

  • A set up of $100.00 will be applied to the balance of this contract to cover the cost of fuel, insurance, firewood and mileage (within 25 miles of Algonac, Michigan).  An additional fee of $1.00 per mile will be added to venues outside of the 25 mile radius of Algonac, Mi.

PAYMENTS

  • Final payment of the attached invoice, minus the deposit amount, is due fourteen (14) days prior to the event.

  • Unpaid invoices will be charged at the rate of 1.5% (18% APR) per month after 15 days.

WEDDINGS

  • Final payment is due fourteen (14) days prior to the event. This is to avoid the hassle of tracking down a responsible party during the wedding celebration.

FINAL GUEST COUNT

  • Final Guest Count, not subject to reduction, is due seven (7) days prior to your event date(s). If you need to increase your guest count, within 7 days of your event date, we will make every effort to accommodate your request.  Additional fees and charges MAY apply beyond the normal agreed upon expenses outlined in the attached invoice.

GUEST COUNT OVERAGE

  • You will ONLY be charged for the guaranteed number of guests served unless you have more attendee's than the guarantee and SCALICI’s WOOD FIRED PIZZA was required to purchase more food and or beverages to accommodate you.

MENU/FOOD QUANTITIES

  • SCALICI’s WOOD FIRED PIZZA will prepare between 5%-10% overage based on the final number of guests we receive from you. This overage is to include feeding of the staff and or vendors. You are not charged for this service.

PAYMENT METHODS

  • SCALICI’s WOOD FIRED PIZZA accepts cash, check, and all major credit cards. A Convenience Fee of 3.5% will be added to all credit card charges.

SALES TAX

  • SCALICI’s WOOD FIRED PIZZA charges 6% Sales Tax on all catering services.

GRATUITY

  • Gratuities are not included in the catering fees. At the client's discretion, any gratuity will go directly to the Pizzaioli and service staff.

TIMELINE

  • SCALICI’s WOOD FIRED PIZZA may arrive up to 90 minutes prior to the scheduled start of your event to prep the oven. Client must provide space acceptable for SCALICI’s WOOD FIRED PIZZA to park the oven, trailer and transport vehicle. SCALICI’s WOOD FIRED PIZZA will cook and serve for approximately two hours, or as otherwise specified. Additional time can be added at $100/ hour based upon availability.

WEDDINGS

  • While we understand the scheduling issues with a wedding, any request to delay service more than 30mins beyond the agreed upon start time will result in additional fees of $50/half-hour in order to cover the costs of our staff.

CANCELLATION BY VENUE, ACTS OF GOD, or CLIENT

  • Non-refundable deposit will be forfeited if you, the client, cancel the event at any time.

  • All prepayments and deposits are forfeited if the event is cancelled by your venue or acts of God (i.e. weather, fire, flood, terrorist activity, etc.) prevent SCALICI’s WOOD FIRED PIZZA from performing your event as agreed.

  • SCALICI’s WOOD FIRED PIZZA will apply the entire balance of your deposits and prepayments, less $100.00 towards another event occurring within 180 days of the original event date. Subject to our availability.  All costs are subject to change.

CANCELLATION BY SCALICI’s WOOD FIRED PIZZA

  • SCALICI’s WOOD FIRED PIZZA reserves the right to terminate this contract for any reason. If SCALICI’s WOOD FIRED PIZZA terminates this contract over 30 days prior to your event date, all deposits and prepayments will be returned in full within 10 days.

  • If SCALICI’s WOOD FIRED PIZZA terminates this contract within 30 days prior to your event date, all deposits and prepayments will be returned in full within 10 days as well as an additional $200.00 penalty.

DAMAGE

  • SCALICI’s WOOD FIRED PIZZA assumes no responsibility for ANY damage or loss of any merchandise, alcohol, equipment, furniture, clothing or other valuables prior to, during or after the event. We will do everything possible to ensure that all of your supplies, rentals and equipment are cared for and maintained in good working order and without any damage.

  • I, the client, understand that by using/providing items I own or are providing or by hosting an event in my home/office, that accidents/breakage and damage may occur. I will NOT bill, charge or sue SCALICI’s WOOD FIRED PIZZA for any loss unless the damage or loss was caused by the willful negligent actions or conduct of SCALICI’s WOOD FIRED PIZZA or its employees.

SCALICI’s WOOD FIRED PIZZA LIABILITY

  • SCALICI’s WOOD FIRED PIZZA only liability will be for actions caused by SCALICI’s WOOD FIRED PIZZA and/or the negligent conduct of its employees.

THIRD PARTY LIABILITY

  • SCALICI’s WOOD FIRED PIZZA assumes no responsibility for the conduct of guests, or third parties hired to provide other services.

INSURANCE

  • SCALICI’s WOOD FIRED PIZZA maintains General, Automobile, and Liability Insurance.

ASSIGNABILITY

  • This contract is not assignable without the written consent of SCALICI’s WOOD FIRED PIZZA.

UNLAWFUL ACTIVITIES

  • The client will comply with all the laws of the United States and the State of Michigan, all municipal ordinances and all lawful orders of police and fire departments and will not do anything on the premises in violation of any laws, ordinances, rules or orders. If unlawful activities are occurring on the premises, SCALICI’s WOOD FIRED PIZZA will terminate service immediately and there will be no refund of any kind from SCALICI’s WOOD FIRED PIZZA to client.

ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE SERVICE

  • Should the event be held in a facility with a liquor license held by the client, or at a venue secured by the client (residence or public location which the client has secured the rights to use), then all security and/or liquor shall in no way involve SCALICI’s WOOD FIRED PIZZA and the client will be responsible for all such aspects associated with legal alcohol service and consumption at the event.
